Meet the Community-First Candidates

Kyrzia Parker

Kyrzia is a mom, a social worker, and a small business owner. Her lived experience as a person with a disability and both receiving and developing IEPs makes Kyrzia a much-needed voice on the board to advocate for all students. Kyrzia will be the voice for every child, a trust-builder for the community, and a dedicated champion for public education.

Tony Ryan

The proud graduate of Douglas County schools, Tony is now raising his young family in the same district that helped him thrive. He taught performing arts before pursuing law, and deeply understands the value of education as well as extracurricular opportunities. Fiercely protective of taxpayer dollars, Tony will lead with accountability and community at the forefront of all board decisions.

Clark Callahan

Clark is the proud father of three public-school-attending children, a former teacher and principal, and an Executive Director. He truly understands what goes into our schools at every level and will bring a wealth of knowledge to the Douglas County School Board. His experience leads to a critical outcome: Student success for every child.

Kelly Denzler

Kelly spent over ten years as a teacher and holds a Master of Education in Education Leadership. She has experienced firsthand the challenges that teachers face and knows how to steer the School Board into making decisions that build strong schools from the ground up. Kelly leads with collaboration, compassion, and a deep personal and professional investment in the success of our school district.
